In observation of this very solemn day in history, the Highlands Latin Upper School choir performed “The Seven Last Words of Christ.” Led by Dr. Louie Bailey, the choir read biblical passages and meditations along with performing beautifully sung arrangements. To close the service, a bell chimed 33 times to signify the age of Jesus when he died.

At the beginning of each and every school year, Highlands Latin School students in sixth grade face a challenge—memorize all 70 stanzas (16 pages, 589 lines, 3,201 words) of Horatius at the Bridge.
