Since its founding in 2000, Highlands Latin School has grown to include three campuses and now serves over 680 students in Jr. Kindergarten through 12th grade. United in the pursuit of providing students with a classical education of the highest quality, each campus is a unique and vital part of the thriving Highlands Latin School community.
Spring Meadows Campus:
The Spring Meadows Campus of Highlands Latin School is a K-12 campus located on Shelbyville Road in East Louisville. This spacious campus which was once the location of a children’s home now serves as a beautiful environment for educating students to the highest standard of the classical tradition.
Crescent Hill Campus:
This campus in the historic Highlands neighborhood of Louisville serves grades K-8. Classes meet in the stately Crescent Hill Baptist Church building which was constructed early in the 20th century. Students wishing to continue their classical education with Highlands Latin School transfer to our Spring Meadows campus for the high school years.
Southern Indiana Campus:
This new campus located across the river in New Albany, Indiana, serves grades K-2 with plans to add one grade per school year. Classes meet in Sojourn New Albany, a church which is housed in the historic Silver Street Elementary School building.
Louisville Cottage School:
The Louisville Cottage School is a homeschool community located on the Spring Meadows campus of the full-time Highlands Latin School in Louisville, Kentucky. The cottage school meets on Mondays, and classes are offered in à-la-carte fashion.
Courses are taught by HLS full-time faculty and class size is kept to a minimum teacher to student ratio, typically around ten to one. All instruction is provided in-class, with independent work being completed at home on the remaining days.
