Highlands Latin: New Campus for 2010

Dear Parents,

In November we signed a contract to purchase a 20-acre campus (Spring Meadows) at 10901 Shelbyville Road, between Hurstbourne and Blankenbaker.   Our due diligence is complete, and we expect to close in late February, with classes starting in the Fall of 2010.  We are excited about this new location and the additional academic and extracurricular opportunities it brings to Highlands Latin School.

As many of you know, our plan is to move one class in K-5 from Crescent Hill to the new campus next year.  Families originally accepted for the new campus over the last two years have been pre-assigned to Spring Meadows.  We also understand that many families may prefer a different campus than we have assigned, so we are mailing a form noting your assigned campus and allowing you to request a change.  We hope to be able to accommodate everyone's selection.

It will be a few months before we announce the Spring Meadows faculty, but since these classes are moving from Crescent Hill, many of the current faculty members will move with their students for continuity.

Please send in your enrollment form with your preferred campus as soon as possible so we can begin planning for an exciting 2010-2011 school year.

If you have a special skill or knowledge you can contribute to this new venture, I certainly welcome your input.  We have a big project ahead of us and appreciate any advice or help you can offer.
