Hayride 2008

Every year the family at Highlands Latin School removes itself to the almost-completed-yet-barely-begun homestead of our very own Mrs. Lowe. At this years hayride, food was eaten, hay was riden, and Mr. Lowe gave many a rousing soliloquy to the riders of said hay that over the roar of the tractor engine, nobody could hear. Several protest were almost organized by the younger members of the crowd in order to attain the heat and light of a bonfire. The movement was quickly put down with the explanation that the sun was already performing this function. The corn had already been harvested this year leaving a large open field, which was helpful to Mr. Wheatley who spent a couple hours ranching lost children, rounding them up with his trusty cart. In the end all children were found and sent home with the correct parents a seemingly impossible feat, but one that at Highlands Latin School we perform every day.
